Excellent Performance and Perfect Fitment
The PERON Super Stock Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) is one of the best performing intercooler upgrades you can buy for the Fiesta ST 1.6T with numerous time attack and race championship wins to back it up. This unit is a direct replacement for the stock intercooler with no cutting to the body or trim required and better still it will support all future modifications you have planned including the PERON P3XX Turbo System.
Test, test and test again
We tested numerous different core designs and suppliers found that a high grade European manufactured tube and fin design was by far the most efficient, in our test we found that the common bar and plate cores would perform as expected on the first dyno run, however this core design would suffer from having extremely poor recovery rates and when a vehicle is run on the dyno for repeated runs the performance of the intercooler would reduce dramatically and in some cases proving that the produced OEM intercooler produced better results. The PERON intercooler will consistently produce a huge reduction in charge temperatures run after run, pull after pull. In our testing we found 138-145C before intercooler temperatures would reduce to 35-40C after cooler temperatures. PERON Asia’s race car was the big test for our design and efficiency, the PERON Super Stock intercooler performed as expected with air intake temperatures never going above 40C on the dyno in extremely high ambient temperatures and poor dyno cooling. In addition, using the standard frame design reduces pressure drop meaning boost targets are hit and response is unaffected.
